     Thank you Wood County for the opportunity to represent you in the Ohio House of Representatives.  I am honored and humbled to have this opportunity to continue serving you!  In such a difficult economy it is critical that we find common ground for moving Ohio's economy forward.  Job creation and fiscal responsibility are hallmarks of my work as your County Commissioner and that will continue as I represent you in our Statehouse.

Pictured is my first Ohio House of Representatives commendation honoring the 80th birthday of Alvie Perkins. My office is able to assist you with such commendations and a number of additional constituent services including the following:

• Learning more about any bill currently pending in the legislature.
• Resolving issues you may have with the Department of Job and Family Services.
• Arranging individual or group tours of the Statehouse.
• Requesting a commendation from the House of Representatives for outstanding local accomplishments or important family milestones such as an 80th birthday or 50th wedding anniversary.
• Resolving conflict with any state agencies.
• Obtaining voter registration forms or absentee ballot applications.
• Acquiring schedules for public committee hearings and information on how to testify.

  Perhaps the most meaningful part of swearing in day was being surrounded by my family and friends.  My sister Lori, held the family Bible.  My dear friend and inspiration in public service Betty Montgomery swore me in.  And when you hear someone say that their life was in part shaped by a teacher, I am living proof.  My high school teacher T.J. Vogt was able to join us and I give him much credit for inspiring my love of our nation's great democracy!  He is an inspiration to me and the thousands of people he taught throughout his career in education.  Thank you T.J. for your great influence on me and for joining in on the day's events!
